A New Year…A New Start. How About a New Job?
As we enter a new year, there’s no better time to give yourself a fresh start at a new job.
The new year is here, which means it’s a perfect time to start fresh. If you haven’t been passionate about your career in a while, capitalize on this time of the year to begin again.
If you’ve lost your “get up and go,” maybe what’s missing is a new goal. Something that gets you excited and motivated again. Whether it’s a new job or a new way of doing something in your present position, a new goal can give you something to look forward to.
So how do you find your goals? Follow these four steps:
1. Convince yourself that you want a new goal. No goal is achieved without commitment. Want to know that you will succeed before you step out of your comfort zone? But you know what, you don’t get this guarantee up front. The miracles in your life happen when you say “yes” and jump in.
This Software allows you to set and track goals and subgoals, manage tasks, build habits, keep goal journal, visualize your goals with a vision board, Etc.

2. Start small. Now is your time to move forward. Start small. Small steps increase your confidence and lead to completing other small steps. Small steps taken regularly are more effective than larger steps taken inconsistently. Slow and steady wins the race.
3. Create your action plan. Having a plan is vital to your success. With a plan, success is yours. Without a plan, you will be working harder than you have to. A plan adds organization to your goal because it details specific actions and steps to get there. Creating a plan will prevent your goal from becoming overwhelming. Your plan will give you comfort and help you succeed. Here’s how to create one: Take your career goal and break it into smaller pieces. Get out your calendar and write down the specific small pieces you will do and when you will complete them. Tweak and make changes as you implement your plan. Use your plan to encourage and guide you. Remember, your plan’s underlying goal is for you to have an exceptional year….a healthy, happy and successful year!
4. Look at your goal every day. Looking at your goal regularly makes it gradually a part of who you are. Look at your goal every morning so you can start your day with focus. Look at your goal every evening, so it stays with you in your dreams. Looking at your goal, and contemplating it, plays a large role in making it real.
Stress is nothing more than a socially acceptable form of mental illness.
–Richard Carlson
According to numerous studies and surveys, most of the stress-related problems that people have are the result of work-related stress.
Considering the problems related to work-stress, it’s little surprise then, that work-at-home jobs are becoming increasingly popular. Thanks to advancements in technology and the widespread use of the Internet, hundreds of thousands of people around the world have been given the chance to work-at-home.
With a work-at-home job, you can often make as much money as you do with your nine-to-five job…and you don’t have the bonus or the corporate culture that you are forced to abide by, and the daily commute. You can work in the comfort of your home — according to a work-schedule that you will be in total control of. As a work-at-home entrepreneur, you can also enjoy plenty of tax advantages! Work-at-home jobs also mean that you can be more available for your family members — a prime reason why more and more mothers today have chosen to work-at-home. Work-at-home jobs provide job security.
Consider the following four popular work-at-home jobs. These jobs can be started up on very low investments — or no investments at all:
